I don't know about you, but for me during the tight times I would even more prefer to be supporting other individuals like myself that are out there trying to make it on their own. Of course, there is always the argument that if the big business goes under, won't more people be affected. Well, maybe. But if all the little establishments fail, won't just as many people be affected? Well I, for one, prefer the small town feel for a vacation. My ordinary life is already so busy, so full of hustle and bustle, that I would much rather have a vacation from the hustle and bustle to the peace and tranquility of a homestead inn inn-stead. I find there is something very relaxing about staying in a place where people don't lock their doors at night, where you can walk to the grocery store and the post office and the library, where you can hear the church bells ringing on a Sunday morning (even if you are just listening to them from the warmth and comfort of your bed, as I would). This is something that only a homestead inn or similar establishment can provide. And it is the best kind of holiday feeling in the world.

Well, you don't usually need to worry about things like bathrooms, towels, or cleanliness; small places like the Homestead Inn generally pride themselves on this kind of thing (and if they don't it's probably reflected in the price).
